who is Botox Cosmetic for?
Botox is for anyone who wants to be proactive in slowing down the aging process, as well as those who have current visible aging signs they’d like to get rid of. While Botox is most commonly used by clients ages 18-60, the right time for treatment varies for everyone.
During your free consultation, our Botox specialists will discuss your options with you. If Botox isn’t the right fit, we also offer effective alternatives like dermal fillers, Xeomin, or laser treatments.
Common areas treated with Botox
Botox is commonly used to treat various areas, including:
- Forehead Lines: Smooths out horizontal lines.
- Frown Lines: Reduces vertical lines between the eyebrows.
- Crow’s Feet: Softens fine lines around the eyes.
- Bunny Lines: Treats wrinkles on the nose from facial expressions.
- Smoker’s Lines: Minimizes vertical lines around the lips.
- Neck Bands: Smooths out wrinkles on the neck.
- Masseter (Jawline & Chin): Slims the face and jawline, softening a square jaw and enhancing facial harmony.
- DAO (Depressor Anguli Oris): Lifts the corners of the mouth, helping to reduce a downward or sad expression.

prevention vs. correction
As any aesthetic dermatologist will tell you, prevention is always preferable to correction! The good news is that Botox works for both.
Botox for Prevention: Starting Botox early can help delay the onset of wrinkles, keeping your skin youthful for longer. It’s most effective on wrinkles that haven’t quite set in yet, and can reduce the onset of wrinkles before they become moderate or severe.
Botox for Correction: If you’re already dealing with wrinkles, Botox can help smooth and relax the affected areas, giving you a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.
By combining Botox with a good skincare regimen, daily sunscreen, and a healthy lifestyle, you can prevent most wrinkles from getting worse AND prevent new ones from forming.
What you can expect from a Botox treatment
You’ll start seeing results within 3-7 days, and they’ll reach their peak effectiveness in about 14 days. The effects gradually wear off after 2-4 months, at which point a follow-up treatment is recommended to maintain results.
Don’t take our word for it
Here’s what our patients have to say about their Botox experience.

ABOUT THE BOTOX EXPERIENCE
step one: your free consultation
You’ll start your Botox experience by having a free consultation with one of our specialists. There, they will assess your skincare goals and areas you’re looking to treat, and answer any questions you might have.

step two: your Botox treatment
Botox appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, but the actual treatment time can definitely be shorter. The area(s) being treated will receive six to eight Botox injections depending on your preferences. After injections, you’ll be asked to frown, raise your eyebrows, smile, and/or pucker your lips to ensure even distribution of Botox.
post-treatment care
The treatment sites might look red or feel irritated for a few hours afterward. For a full list of common side effects, as well as important info on what you should do before and after your treatment, click ahead.

HOW BOTOX WORKS
the science behind Botox
Botox Cosmetic by Allergan® is a highly effective neuromodulator treatment, and the science behind it is fascinating! Once injected, Botox attaches itself to your nerve endings, blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that’s responsible for triggering your facial muscles’ contractions. This causes your facial muscles to relax, and the fine lines and wrinkles in your skin to smooth away.
