Which Injectables Does LaserAway Offer?

Your Guide to Injectables at LaserAway

Injectables have become the go-to solution for many when it comes to putting your best face forward. At LaserAway, we offer a range of injectable treatments designed to address a wide range of aesthetic concerns and help you meet your skincare goals. Understanding the differences between neuromodulators and dermal fillers is important when selecting the right cosmetic treatment for your needs. Learn more about how dermal fillers and neuromodulators differ and the different injectables that we offer, including Botox, Xeomin, and Juvéderm.

Neuromodulators: Botox and Xeomin

Neuromodulators are a class of injectables that temporarily relax the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles. These are the lines and creases that form as a result of repeated facial expressions such as smiling, frowning, and squinting. At LaserAway, we offer two of the most popular neuromodulators: Botox and Xeomin.

Botox

Botox is a household name in the world of cosmetic treatments. Approved by the FDA, Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles. This temporary relaxation prevents the muscles from contracting, smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines. Botox is particularly effective in treating crow’s feet, forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, and lines around the lower face.

One of Botox’s key benefits is its quick results. Patients typically begin to notice a subtle reduction in wrinkles within a few days of treatment, with full results appearing in about two weeks. The effects of Botox usually last between three and four months, making it a convenient option for those looking to maintain their results with regular treatments.

Xeomin

Xeomin is another popular neuromodulator offered at LaserAway. Like Botox, Xeomin is made from botulinum toxin type A.  Xeomin functions essentially the same as Botox with a slightly different formulation but is a more affordable option for those on a budget.

Xeomin works similarly to Botox by blocking nerve signals to the muscles, thus preventing the formation of dynamic wrinkles. Similar to Botox, Xeomin is particularly effective for treating glabellar lines, aka frown lines, and other facial wrinkles. Patients can expect to start seeing some initial results within a few days of treatment (peaking at two weeks), with the effects lasting around three to four months.

Dermal Fillers: Juvéderm

While neuromodulators target dynamic wrinkles, dermal fillers are designed to address static wrinkles and volume loss. Static wrinkles are present even when your face is at rest and are often caused by the natural aging process, sun exposure, and other environmental factors. Dermal fillers work by adding volume beneath the skin, smoothing out wrinkles, and enhancing facial contours. At LaserAway, we offer Juvéderm.

Juvéderm

Juvéderm is a versatile dermal filler made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin that helps maintain hydration and volume. The Juvéderm family includes a range of products tailored to address different areas of the face, from fine lines to deep folds and volume loss.

One of the most popular Juvéderm products is Juvéderm Ultra XC, which is specifically designed to add volume to the lips, helping to create a fuller appearance. Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC is formulated to smooth out marionette lines and nasolabial folds (the lines running from the nose to the corners of the mouth), whereas Juvéderm Voluma XC restores volume, lift, and contour to the cheek area.

Results from Juvéderm treatments are immediate, with most patients experiencing a noticeable improvement in the treated areas. Depending on the specific product used and the area treated, the effects of Juvéderm can last anywhere from six months to two years.

Choosing the Right Injectable

When deciding between neuromodulators and dermal fillers, it’s important to consider the specific concerns you want to address. Neuromodulators like Botox and Xeomin are best for treating dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement (and can even help soften static wrinkles with multiple treatments over time), while dermal fillers like Juvéderm are ideal for adding volume and smoothing wrinkles. In fact, neuromodulators and dermal fillers can complement each other, helping you to reach your aesthetic goals!
